Another piece of advice I was given recently was Look for the similarities, don’t look for the differences. So as you come in and you're working with this diverse group of people and you're all together, you're out in the field, or out of the office, wherever it is you're working, you'd be surprised how many commonalities you'll find.

And I think at some point something in human nature looks for the differences first. My challenge would be, look for the similarities. What do you have in common?
