West Henrietta, NY—Over 1,700 crew members from Rochester-based Lewis Tree Service, Inc. are among the tree crews providing emergency storm restoration services to areas affected by Hurricane Irma.
“Lewis crews from across North America began deploying late last week in anticipation of a major storm event,” said Thomas R. Rogers, President and CEO of Lewis Tree. “It takes an unwavering focus on safety and extreme dedication to leave family and friends behind, sometimes for weeks at a time, and drive toward hurricane force winds and rain—but that’s exactly what our team members do in storm-related emergencies. We’re extremely proud of our crews and the service that they provide to those in need.”
Lewis crews, hailing from Canada, New England, the Mid Atlantic, Midwest, Southeast and Southwest U.S. (including TX-based crews who, until this past weekend, were serving on Hurricane Harvey clean-up) are currently staged at areas throughout Florida, Georgia and South Carolina and providing utility line clearance services to aid utilities in restoring power.
